Webinar – Behaviour is Communication

The phrase ‘Behaviour is Communication’ highlights that a child’s behaviour often reflects their emotional state. Children’s behaviour is a primary means of expressing their feelings and needs, revealing deeper emotions that require interpretation.

It is crucial to look beyond the surface actions to understand the true messages behind a their behaviour. In this webinar, we will cover several topics, starting with the principles of therapeutic parenting, the importance of nurture and play, and how to respond to your child’s underlying emotions.

We provide an opportunity for parents to examine a case study on toxic shame, and provide resources for foster and adoptive parents to use beyond the webinar.

This webinar is recommended for all stages of adoption and fostering, particularly in early placement.

This webinar is free of charge for Adoption Matters families, Foster Care Matters families and Regional Adoption Agency (RAA) families who are currently receiving support from the Centre for Fostering & Adoption Support (CFAS).
